    We thank our generous donors for creating these exceptional opportunities for our students. Andrea Niper, who is pursuing a BA in Economics with a minor in Business and World Trade, was awarded the Kogut Brothers Award. Stephanie Vail, who is pursuing a BA in Economics with a minor in Statistics, was awarded the William A. Strauss Scholarship, and Casey Rotherberg, who is pursuing a BA in Economics with a minor in Chinese, was awarded the Matthew Scarpati Endowed Scholarship.

    Moon was recently awarded a CAS fellowship to present his paper “Internal structure of consumer cities: core and subcenters” at the 2016 annual conference of the International Transportation Economics Association (ITEA), held this year June 15-17 at the Universidad de Chile in Santiago de Chile, Chile.

    UB senior economics major Sean Kaczmarek has been chosen to receive a Marshall Scholarship, one of the most selective graduate fellowships available to American undergraduates and an honor many consider the country’s most prestigious scholarship.
