My research deals with developing synthetic strategies towards chiral saturated oxygen heterocycles using copper catalysis. Our developed methodologies allow for the expedient synthesis of biologically relevant compounds.
The department has an extremely welcoming and inclusive environment which along with an extremely supportive advisor in Sherry, has provided for an extremely fulfilling graduate experience. Now that I am at the very end of my graduate studies, I can safely say that I shall take with me a lot of happy memories from my time here at UB.
In my free time I enjoy playing badminton, trekking, watching tennis and cricket and solving complicated sudoku puzzles. I also enjoy Indian Classical music and have been learning to play the table (Indian classical drum) for the past few years.
