Amaris C. Borges-Muñoz, 4th-year PhD student in Prof. Colón's group
"My research focuses on the development and evaluation of new stationary phases for liquid and supercritical fluid chromatography. Our goal is to achieve more hydrolytically stable structures with different moieties attached at the surface that can serve as a platform for further functionalization.
I enjoy being a graduate student at UB because there is a sense of comradery within the department that provides an enjoyable environment for learning. I am also lucky enough to have an extraordinary mentor like Dr. Colón and work with great people on a daily basis.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends, reading, music, the beach and traveling."
