My research involves understanding the partition of perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in sorbents used for separation and studying PFAS distribution in heterogeneous environmental and biological samples. To achieve these goals, I use micro separation methodologies for preconcentration which is hyphenated to liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) to quantify and identify PFAS.
I like UB because of its diverse community, which creates an enriching environment where I can learn from people with different backgrounds and perspectives. Also, the atmosphere on campus is very vibrant and inclusive, providing numerous opportunities for academic and personal growth.
When I'm not in the lab, I like to bake and experiment with new recipes. I also enjoy singing and embarking on adventurous activities.
